happy AACD general session attendees

Do you want to be motivated and inspired?

In addition to hands-on learning and workshops, the AACD is providing its annual scientific session attendees with several general sessions with a variety of noted speakers to give you an outside perspective on achieving your goals and reaching success.

Wednesday General Session: Practice 360
With a week of rich, deep clinical programming ahead, AACD 2014 will kick off with a special program inspired by and designed for the entire dental team. Structured similarly to the popular TED talk format, Practice 360 will provide five quick-bite, energetic and relevant presentations. Speakers include: Dr. Bill Dorfman, FAACD, who treats many celebrity patients and makes regular appearances on national TV shows, including “The Doctors” and was the featured dentist on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover”; Eva Grayzel, oral cancer survivor and professional storyteller; Judy Kay Masoulf, owner/president of Practice Solutions Inc.; Dr. Chris Ramsey, AAACD; and Kirk Behrendt, CEO of ACT Dental.
Special Announcement
During Practice 360, the AACD will make a special announcement regarding its latest initiative to drive more patients to your practice and raise more awareness about cosmetic dentistry! Don’t miss it—it will have some important implications for all of the great work that you do!
Thursday General Session: Adam Braun
Adam Braun, founder of Pencils of Promise, will take the stage Thursday morning at AACD 2014. Pencils of Promise is an award-winning nonprofit organization that has built more than 100 schools across Africa, Asia and Latin America and delivered over five million educational hours in its first four years. PoP was founded with just $25 using Braun’s unique “For-Purpose” approach to blending nonprofit idealism with for-profit business principles. In 2012, he was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 List.
Braun, whose parents are both dentists, began his career in finance, until he met a young boy begging on the streets and asked him what he wanted most in the world. The answer- “A pencil.” He then traveled through 50+ countries to focus on educational systems and eventually left a dream job at Bain & Company to launch Pencils of Promise.
Friday General Session: Suzy Welch, author of “10.10.10”
Together with her husband Jack, Welch is co-author of the international bestseller Winning. She also authored “10-10-10,” a decision making guide and life-transforming idea, which she will be speaking about in Orlando. “10-10-10” references 10 minutes, 10 months, 10 years, and has been featured by Oprah magazine. Great for the whole dental team!
