Markus Blatz

Markus Blatz
Dr. Blatz is professor of restorative dentistry and chairman of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. He is also founder and co-director of the UPenn SDM CAD/CAM Ceramic Center. Dr. Blatz graduated from the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany, and was awarded an additional doctorate degree, a post-graduate certificate in Prosthodontics, and, most recently, his Habilitation (Privatdozent) from the same University.
Dr. Blatz serves on the editorial boards of numerous recognized dental journals, most notably Journal of Adhesive Dentistry, Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (section editor), Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, and is the former associate editor of Quintessence International and Quintessence of Dental Technology.
Dr. Blatz is a diplomat of the German Society of Prosthodontics and Material Sciences (DGZPW) and a member of multiple other professional organizations, including the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the American College of Prosthodontics, and O.K.U. Honor Dental Society.
 Dr. Blatz is the recipient of multiple teaching and research awards. He has published and lectured extensively on various facets of prosthodontics, adhesive and restorative dentistry, implantology, and dental materials.
