We know that long after the scars and bruises from domestic violence have healed, the damage to the teeth still lingers, reminding the survivor of his or her painful past. Unfortunately,noticeably injured or missing teeth are disfigurements that detract from the survivor’s confidence, interfere with employment opportunities, and can negatively affect social interactions.
