Be a Part of the AACD's New Consumer Awareness Campaign!

The AACD is implementing a new consumer awareness campaign that will leverage the existing AACD consumer website Your Smile Becomes You, the new and improved AACD Find-a-Dentist website, and a new AACD Instagram account, @yourdreamsmile.

The @yourdreamsmile account will focus on:
  • educating and engaging consumers about cosmetic dentistry,
  • increasing AACD brand awareness among consumers, and
  • driving consumer traffic to AACD’s Find-a-Dentist website.

The account will feature fun smile and cosmetic dentistry related content, which is where you come in!

The AACD invites all members to create content for @yourdreamsmile to share, including video tips, patient smile stories and patient portrait photos. We urge you to use #AACDdentist in your practice posts and have your patients use #myAACDsmile in their posts.

If your practice isn’t already on Instagram, here are some statistics for you to consider: six in ten online adults have Instagram accounts, over 80% of accounts on Instagram follow a business, and engagement rates on Instagram are 15 times higher than Facebook and 20 higher than Twitter.

 

How to Get Involved:

  • Submit this form, letting the AACD know our practice Instagram handle and giving us permission to repost your content.
  • Use #AACDdentist in your practice posts.
  • Have your patients use #myAACDsmile in their posts.
  • Create content for @yourdreamsmile to share—see types and examples below.
Video Tips from AACD Member Dentists
Use the Dentist Video Tip Script to create an educational video for consumers about a specific procedure or just general oral hygiene advice!
AACD Patient Smile Stories
Use the  Patient Smile Story Submission Form to submit a compelling patient smile story. We want to share your patients' heart-warming, tear-jerking stories of how their life was changed by their new smile. These submissions can be video or photo submissions, and you must submit a Patient Photo Release with your patient's smile story as well as a Dentist/Photographer Photo Release if someone other than the patient took the photos/video.
AACD Patient Portraits
We know some of you also dabble in patient portrait photography, and we'd love to share your patient portraits on both the AACD website homepage slideshow as well as the @yourdreamsmile account. You must submit a Patient Photo Release with all patient portraits as well as a Dentist/Photographer Photo Release.
