The Ivoclar Smile Award

In its first edition, the award honours these masters of their craft who combine skill and innovation to create smiles around the world. 

The Ivoclar Smile Award shines a light on what often goes unseen – the precision and joy that come with perfecting one’s craft, inspiring trust in patients. The contest not only offers a platform for creativity and outstanding achievement, but also provides a unique opportunity to network with international colleagues, learn from experts, exchange knowledge, and celebrate a shared passion for the craft.

Vincent Fehmer, renowned master dental technician from Lausanne, Switzerland, explains: “Taking part is what really counts – because simply by submitting your work, you will reflect on its quality, strengthen excellence in your daily practice, and take your skills to the next level.”

Two categories – one goal
The Ivoclar Smile Award 2026 for outstanding work with IPS e.max materials will be presented in two categories:

• The category “Proven Masters” celebrates experienced teams of dental technicians and dentists for complex restorations that demonstrate the highest esthetic quality.
• The category “Rising Stars” highlights emerging talents in dental technology under the age of 30, who are shaping the future of everyday lab work with their precision and inspiring craftsmanship.

The evaluation is conducted by an international panel of experts in dental technology and dentistry. Key criteria include clinical complexity, esthetic implementation, material selection and proven patient satisfaction.
